Overseas Dental Tourism

If you are thinking of going overseas to get your dental treatment, there are some things you should consider before making this very important decision:

What dental implants are you getting?

If problems arise, who will you see?

  • Many of the overseas implants do not pass Therapeutic Goods Act (TGA) or Australian Standards
  • What is the quality of teeth you are getting and how long will they last?
  • Is the overseas practice using a titanium or cheaper metals?
  • We do reviews before, during, post operatively – 1, 2 weeks, then monthly and at 3 months we unscrew the teeth and check that all is healing well and our skilled hygienists do a thorough clean. We follow a standard protocol to ensure that our patients are receiving the best care possible. We also do a clean and review, annually.
  • Have you considered that you will need to travel overseas for all the post-operative work?
  • Not 100% of implant procedures work – what if something goes wrong?

It is important to consider these points before you make this very important decision. To enquire about the standards and protocol we offer at Dental 359 call 1 300 625 625.
