Invisalign is a virtually invisible orthodontic solution made from medical-grade plastic making it easy to straighten your teeth without metal braces, bands, brackets, or wires. This treatment consists of a series of nearly invisible, clear removable aligners (trays) that you can change every two weeks. Each aligner is individually designed specifically for your teeth. As you replace each aligner, your teeth will move to achieve the final result desired, without the need for a surgical or invasive procedure.
There are 3 different types of Invisalign treatments available depending on the severity of the crowding you experience. Dr. Golestani following a thorough examination in your first consultation can direct you towards the best course of treatment for your situation ensuring the highest level of satisfaction for your correction journey.
Invisalign braces consist of many benefits and have become a popular treatment, preferred by many patients when seeking to improve their smile. One of the frequent questions we receive at our dental practice is ‘what is better? fixed braces or Invisalign to straighten teeth?”
The answer may not be as straightforward, when considering orthodontic treatment it is always examined on a case-by-case basis. There are very few treatments that fit the description of a one-size-fits-all nature.
However, there are many benefits the Invisalign technology offers.
Virtually invisible aligners are used from start to finish to transform your smile into the desired position by straightening your teeth.
Unlike braces, they are very comfortable and easy to maintain, with the added benefit of minimizing the impact it may have on your speech, diet, and overall comfort. This is a huge bonus for Invisalign patients in comparison to other orthodontic treatments.
Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign aligners are removable, such as when eating or playing sport. Due to Invisalign aligners being removable, there is a greater responsibility to wear retainers so you can graduate onto your next set of aligners as scheduled.
This also has the added benefit of making it easier to keep your aligners clean and maintain general oral health. Easily remove to brush your teeth, floss in between them without any new brushes required.
Enjoy fewer consultations overall, as the Invisalign treatment consists of creating custom-made aligners as part of your treatment plan. This means you receive the full report of Dr. Golestani and our friendly staff, with minimal disruptions to life and work.
When deciding who to trust with your treatment it is important to ask the right questions and do your research. This being said, the first place to start is an appropriately qualified health practitioner.

We are trained in the latest Invisalign technology, with three types of treatment available, depending on your level of crowding, and the final position you’d like to achieve. Your eligibility will be determined by Dr. Golestani following a comprehensive consultation and examination.
This is the longest course of treatment. It includes roughly 18-36 aligners worn over a course of 9-18 months to complete the process of teeth straightening.
For slightly less severe cases, the Invisalign treatment process only includes up to 14 aligners worn for approximately 9 months.
Is for cases where minimal movement is required. The Invisalign i7 includes only 7 aligners worn for approximately 4 months to achieve straight teeth.
There are two types of retainers that can be worn following your Invisalign treatment.
Vivera retainers are a plastic aligner (very similar to the ones worn during your Invisalign treatment) or a bonded retainer that can be fixed to the back of the anterior teeth, both options ensure lifelong retention so long as you follow your provider’s instructions and return for regular hygiene appointments.
